Bluebird Fantasy painting in process.
MONSTER MASH COLLABORATION
I participated in the HOPE Center For Arts and Technology - Monster Mash event/fundraiser.
I chose a 3rd grader’s artwork, “ My monster is Big Scary Frighted Girl.”
SOLD! Proceeds went to HOPE Cat.
WHAT'S IN A TITLE?
This painting originally was titled Kiss Like Klimt as an homage to Gustav Klimt’s painting The Kiss.
The SOAP gallery has a show titled 7 Deadly Sins. I thought - “This painting fits the theme!”
So when I brought it in, the name changed to “Lust”. Which fits. So they are lusty for now…
Newspaper article featuring my painting for this show. Sinful is in the eye of the beholder…

MEDICI MUSEUM OF ART EXHIBIT
A lot of artwork is being shown at this exhibit. Each artist has their artwork displayed together. Mine don’t really go together, but I understand trying to organize such a big show.
John and I next to my pieces. Pear Duo and Not Ignoring You.
ART REQUEST
Watercolor floral art request for a baby girl’s nursery. Not my usual style, but still fun to do! Hope they like it!
ALL TOGETHER NOW
My recent pieces with ornate frames look so good displayed together!
RECENT WORK
During our kitchen remodeling I thought a food painting might be good. Fruit - pears? Can’t have a purely traditional set of pears. Experimented with slicing oversized dramatic pears. Kind of fragmented.
3 Sliced Pears • 24” x 36” Acrylic on canvas
WHAT I DO
Instagram post
IN YOUR SPACE!
Fun example of Side Eye in an environment. Could be yours!
REMEMBERING THE FARM
We sold the family farm in Colorado. Bittersweet because we have so many fond memories of spending time there, but because of distance it became too much to take care of. Nearby ranchers bought our property, so it’s in good hands.
The Farm • Acrylic on canvas • 36” x 48”
Most of this piece is from memory. The view faces west. Out on the plains towards eastern Colorado.
The house, well, granary, chicken coup, outhouse, pigeon coup, fuel tank, raccoon pen, sheep pen, barn, pond and fields. There’s my grandpa feeding the cattle from the bed of his truck.
And the sky really is that blue.
FRAMES
My husband John is a fabulous wood worker. He’s been making the frames for my paintings. They really are terrific!
Multi blue floating frame. Outer area is black, front ultramarine blue, and the inner area cobalt.
Ultramarine blue chunky frame to fit.
A collection of several frames all perfect for each artwork.
